BodyDear Anders Vistisen,
I am writing with urgent concern regarding Arad Azimi, who is currently at imminent risk of execution in Iran.
This case comes at a particularly alarming time. In recent months, Iranian authorities have intensified executions in parallel with widespread unrest and ongoing conflict. These actions are increasingly carried out under conditions of severe internet restrictions and communication blackouts, which limit transparency and prevent independent scrutiny.
Arad Azimi, a 26-year-old resident of Saadat Abad, Tehran, was arrested by security forces at his home on the evening of 23 Dey 1404. Since then, he has only had one brief contact, and his family has remained unaware of his whereabouts, charges, health status, and the possibility of visiting him.
Credible reports indicate that detainees are often subjected to unfair trials, restricted legal access, and coerced confessions. When executions take place during periods of reduced visibility, the risk of irreversible injustice is significantly heightened.
In this context, international attention becomes one of the few remaining safeguards.
I respectfully urge you to:
* Call for an immediate halt to the execution of Arad Azimi
* Raise this case urgently with the European External Action Service and relevant EU institutions
* Advocate for transparency and independent monitoring, particularly during ongoing communication restrictions

Time is critical. When visibility is deliberately reduced, silence can enable irreversible harm.
Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely,
A concerned citizen
