BodyDear Honourable Łukasz Kohut,
I am writing with urgent concern regarding Amir Lali, who is currently at imminent risk of execution in Iran.
This case comes at a particularly alarming time. In recent months, Iranian authorities have intensified executions in parallel with widespread unrest and ongoing conflict. These actions are increasingly carried out under conditions of severe internet restrictions and communication blackouts, which limit transparency and prevent independent scrutiny.
Amir Lali, aged 32-36, resident of Dehq, Isfahan, was shot in the leg in his home on the morning of 19 Dey 1404 (1965) and arrested. Transferred to Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan, accused of war without trial, suffering from diabetes and without proper foot treatment, lacking access to a lawyer and in-person family visits. Threatened with execution but not carried out yet.
Credible reports indicate that detainees are often subjected to unfair trials, restricted legal access, and coerced confessions. When executions take place during periods of reduced visibility, the risk of irreversible injustice is significantly heightened.
In this context, international attention becomes one of the few remaining safeguards.
I respectfully urge you to:
* Call for an immediate halt to the execution of Amir Lali
* Raise this case urgently with the European External Action Service and relevant EU institutions
* Advocate for transparency and independent monitoring, particularly during ongoing communication restrictions

Time is critical. When visibility is deliberately reduced, silence can enable irreversible harm.
Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely,
A concerned citizen
