BodyDear MEP Chloé Ridel,
I am writing with urgent concern regarding Azar Saheli, who is currently at imminent risk of execution in Iran.
This case comes at a particularly alarming time. In recent months, Iranian authorities have intensified executions in parallel with widespread unrest and ongoing conflict. These actions are increasingly carried out under conditions of severe internet restrictions and communication blackouts, which limit transparency and prevent independent scrutiny.
Azar Saheli, the sister of Mehdi Saheli, one of the victims of the 19 Dey 1404 protests in Ramsar, was arrested by security forces and taken to an unknown location after speaking at her brother's 40th birthday celebration in Ramsar. No information is available on charges, prison, or lawyer.
Credible reports indicate that detainees are often subjected to unfair trials, restricted legal access, and coerced confessions. When executions take place during periods of reduced visibility, the risk of irreversible injustice is significantly heightened.
In this context, international attention becomes one of the few remaining safeguards.
I respectfully urge you to:
* Call for an immediate halt to the execution of Azar Saheli
* Raise this case urgently with the European External Action Service and relevant EU institutions
* Advocate for transparency and independent monitoring, particularly during ongoing communication restrictions

Time is critical. When visibility is deliberately reduced, silence can enable irreversible harm.
Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely,
A concerned citizen
