BodyDear Honourable Daniel Attard,
I am writing with urgent concern regarding Mahsa Salah, who is currently at imminent risk of execution in Iran.
This case comes at a particularly alarming time. In recent months, Iranian authorities have intensified executions in parallel with widespread unrest and ongoing conflict. These actions are increasingly carried out under conditions of severe internet restrictions and communication blackouts, which limit transparency and prevent independent scrutiny.
Mahsa Salah, the former manager of the Grandma's Cottage restaurant and sister of one of the victims of the 1404 Dey protests, was arrested at her home in Shiraz on 27 Bahman 1404 at around 2 pm. On 28 Bahman, she briefly contacted her mother and stated that she was doing well, but her whereabouts and details of the case are unknown.
Credible reports indicate that detainees are often subjected to unfair trials, restricted legal access, and coerced confessions. When executions take place during periods of reduced visibility, the risk of irreversible injustice is significantly heightened.
In this context, international attention becomes one of the few remaining safeguards.
I respectfully urge you to:
* Call for an immediate halt to the execution of Mahsa Salah
* Raise this case urgently with the European External Action Service and relevant EU institutions
* Advocate for transparency and independent monitoring, particularly during ongoing communication restrictions

Time is critical. When visibility is deliberately reduced, silence can enable irreversible harm.
Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely,
A concerned citizen
